A Level Success comes to Newark Sixth
Our A Level students celebrated excellent results this year, with 100% pass rates in 12 subjects and a 98% pass rate overall. Students are progressing to a wide range of universities and courses across the country.
Some of our success stories this year
Kerry Higgins secured A*AAA grades and is going to Cambridge University. Oli Rushby ‘couldn’t be happier’ to have achieved A*BB and entry to Royal Holloway (part of the University of London) in Surrey. Luke Berry got AAAB and is going to Exeter University to study Law. Jono Hoyer achieved AAB and moves on to the University of Nottingham to study Business and understatedly describes himself as ‘pretty chuffed’.
‘Very happy’ Becky Jackson gained her place to study Sociology at the University of Kent with grades of BBB, while Scott Archibald demonstrates the diversity of options open to Lincoln College A Level students as he starts a degree in Motorsport Engineering at Coventry University. Some of our students want to stay local for their next step, such as Martin Rice, now moving on to study Politics at the University of Lincoln.
Alice Conroy, from Newark, is going to Keele University, Staffordshire to study Biochemistry and Forensics. Alice said she was really happy that College gave her the opportunity to do the subjects she needed, and do really well in them. Jamie Dobbins, also of Newark, achieved ABB and progresses to the University of Hull.
